Bedspread Fabric
Bedspread fabrics are available from TkanIstanbul wholesale by the roll; it is an Istanbul-based supplier that also arranges contract manufacturing on request. Bedspread fabrics are usually heavier than bedding fabrics; chenille, jacquard, pom-pom and fluffy styles are common.
A bedspread covers the bed during the day and sets the look of the room, so bedspread fabrics are chosen for texture, pattern and drape. They are usually heavier than bedding fabrics. Chenille, jacquard, pom-pom and fluffy styles are common. Fabric width decides whether a bedspread is cut in one piece or joined. Prices are visible to members.

What affects the price?
- Yarn and weave: chenille yarn and jacquard-woven patterns cost more than a plain weave.
- Fibre: polyester, cotton-polyester and viscose blends are priced differently.
- Trims: pom-poms, tassels and fringes, woven in or sewn on, affect the price.
- Weight, width and quantity: wide fabric allows a one-piece bedspread; the quote reflects order size.

Frequently asked questions
- What is chenille?
- Chenille is a yarn type. Short fibres are fixed at right angles to a fine core, so the yarn looks like a caterpillar. Fabric woven from it is soft, full and velvety.
- Does a jacquard pattern show on both sides?
- The pattern is woven, so it shows on both sides; the back may show it in reverse.
- Can a bedspread be cut in one piece?
- Fabric width decides that. If the short side of the bedspread is wider than the fabric, it needs a seam. Give your finished size in the enquiry.
- Do pom-poms survive washing?
- It depends on how they are attached. Ask whether they are woven in or sewn on, and ask for the care instructions.
